Carbohydrates also help increase the levels of feel-good hormones in the body. There are two types of carbohydrates – simple carbohydrates and complex carbohydrates. To increase feel-good hormones, eat little simple carbohydrates and more complex carbohydrates. Rice, bread and pasta are included in the category of simple carbohydrates, while complex carbohydrates include brown rice, whole grain bread, whole grain pasta, etc.
