How to Strengthen the Body’s Immune System

According to Yoga shastras, to be physically healthy, mentally balanced, intellectually talented, spiritually strong and socially helpful is to be healthy. A healthy life can only be imagined if the body’s immune system is strong.

The collection of a biological process that takes place inside the body of a human or an organism is called the immune system. It identifies and destroys the viruses, bacteria, parasites and bad cells that have entered the human body, killing them and protecting the body from the disease. Therefore, the body’s immune system must always be strong.

When the body’s immune system is weakened, people get infected with various diseases. There are thousands of harmful and beneficial viruses, bacteria and other germs in the human body and environment. Beneficial bacteria play a positive role in various functions of the body. Harmful viruses seek out opportunities for a weakened immune system. Even viruses that are dormant in the environment sometimes become active when favorable conditions are created for them.

Covid-19 disease, which is currently spreading like an epidemic in the world, has terrorized the world. More than 624 million people worldwide have been infected and more than 6.57 million have died.

Fifteen percent had symptoms of the common cold, the remaining five percent had severe symptoms, and 3.3 percent died. Ninety-five percent of those killed were people with some form of disease and a weakened immune system. Thus, those who have strong immunity do not seem to be affected even if the virus enters the body and those whose immune system is weak are affected.

Therefore, the best way to avoid Covid-19 and such diseases and to live a healthy life is to keep the body’s immune system strong. Some medicines are also used to strengthen the body’s immune system, but natural remedies are considered to be the best and most sustainable way to strengthen the immune system. Because man is a product of nature, is born in nature, grows in nature and is finally absorbed in nature.

Therefore the natural process is homogeneous for man. It is said that an imbalance in a person’s natural state is actually a state of illness. Being healthy is a natural condition of the body, while disease, weakness, suffering is an unnatural condition. This happens due to violation of the law of nature. Violation of the laws of nature weakens the body’s immune system.

Ayurveda mentions three important measures to strengthen the immune system naturally: proper diet, proper behavior, proper thinking.

1) Proper diet:

In the general sense, food taken through the mouth and tongue is called food, but the real meaning of food is to take the external thing inside the body. According to Ayurveda, food from the mouth, air from the nose, sight from the eyes, sound from the ears, touch from the skin, thoughts and imagination from the mind are also included in the diet.

The strength of the human body, speed, metal, sense of strength, contentment, confirmation, talent, conscience, health, etc. all depend on the diet. These are: temperament, coincidence, culture, quantity, country, time, and usage system. Therefore, food taken in proper method and quantity makes the body strong, the mind vibrant and the brain sharp.

The body remains a part of the mind and brain even if the food consumed by a person is a small part. That is why diet should always be taken properly. As mentioned in the holy scripture Gita, the diet is divided into three parts on the basis of merit, which are Satvik, Rajasi and Tamasik.

Satwik food:

Food which includes seasonal cereal crops, seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables, vegetables, sprouted nuts, fresh salad, milk, curd, almonds, okhar, pistachio, dry foods like dates, clean water, clean air, mushrooms etc. are satwik foods. It gives age, strength, wisdom, health, happiness and love. Satwic food strengthens the body’s immune system.

Rajasi diet:

Rajasi diet includes smooth, sour, bitter and spicy food. Consumption of such food increases arousal, passion, hatred, work, anger. Such diets cause diseases like heartburn, acidity and ulcers in the body. Consumption of such food weakens the body’s immune system.

Tamasic food:

Tamasic food includes fish, meat, eggs, stale, rotten odors, intoxicants, alcohol, smoking, heavy food etc. Tamasic food causes laziness, sleepiness, drunkenness, laziness, roughness, and violent habits. Food that has lost its natural properties can become the same majestic and vengeful. Nowadays, ready-to-eat food like noodles, biscuits and junk foods are also included in the tamasic diet. Eating such foods can lead to imbalances in the natural state of the human body, weaken the immune system and lead to incurable diseases.

Therefore, pure, vitamin, mineral, protein-rich, fresh sattvic food is beneficial for a healthy life. People should eat food with a calm mind, chewed well and methodically. It is said that people die more for not knowing how to eat than for not getting food.

In addition to vegetables, regular consumption of herbs like turmeric, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, ginger, thyme, garlic, fenugreek, jwano, bay leaf, cardamom, nutmeg and tea and beverages along with basil, gurjo, green tea, chilli, lemon. Develops the ability to fight disease. Makes it easier for the body to adjust when the weather and climate change. This type of food is especially useful in reducing the effects of viruses.

2) Proper Vihar:

Vihar is a way of life or routine of a person. These include things like living, sleeping, eating, resting, working, playing. When to get up, when to eat, when to work, when to rest, when to sleep, nature has made rules for man. In this way, if we follow the routine given by nature, man becomes healthy and wholesome. Man becomes unhealthy and sick if he acts contrary to nature. Her body’s immune system is weakened.

It is said that 90% of diseases are caused due to bad lifestyle and 90% of diseases are cured by improving lifestyle. Get in the habit of getting up before sunrise in the morning, doing yoga, pranayama, exercising, swimming, cycling, walking, eating at the right time, doing proper physical work, resting at the right time, sleeping at the right time, etc.

Healthy manners, dear beneficial words, even the habit of walking on the path of virtuous truth and justice make people healthy. Adopting this kind of balanced disciplined regular lifestyle makes a person healthy and strong against disease.

3) Proper Thought:

In order for a person to be healthy and wholesome, a person’s mind and heart must be pure and clean. It is the mind that drives the human body. The mind must lead the body to the right destination. In order for a person to be healthy and wholesome, the mind must be calm, cheerful and pure.

Positive thinking should always be developed by giving up the negative perceptions that arise in the mind. Disorders like pride, greed, work, lust, anger, lust, ego should be abandoned. Emotions like compassion, love, kindness, love, gratitude, self-confidence should be awakened in the mind. Positive thinking gives special energy to the mind and brain. Positive thinking keeps the mind, brain and soul healthy and strengthens the body’s immune system.

In the end, it is better to prevent the disease than to treat the disease, just as a person should eat sattvic food. Positive Thinking, Positive Thoughts and a Healthy Lifestyle Strengthens the Immune System and Helps to Live a Healthy, Happy and Strong Life.
